Augusta Office

Taylor Bird is an Executive Managing Director with the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in the Augusta office. He leads the firm's brokerage activities in secondary and tertiary markets throughout Georgia. In 2019, he received Connect CRE's Next Generation Award for his talent, drive, and influence in the commercial real estate industry.

Since 2012, Taylor has been involved in selling over 380 apartment communities with a total of over 62,000 units and an aggregate value in excess of $6.6 billion. Taylor holds a BBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia.

Nelson Abels is an Executive Managing Director of the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group. Based in the Atlanta office, his responsibilities include supporting all of the firm's brokerage activities focused in secondary and tertiary markets throughout Central to Coastal Georgia.

Since 2014, Nelson has been directly involved in the sale of over 62,000 units and an aggregate value in excess of $6.4 billion. Nelson holds a BBA in Economics from the University of Georgia.

Austin Weathington joined the Cushman & Wakefield Multifamily Advisory Group in 2021. As a Director, his responsibilities include supporting all of the firm's brokerage activities focused in secondary and tertiary markets throughout Central to Coastal Georgia.

Austin previously worked for Colliers International in Atlanta, where he managed all brokerage activity throughout secondary markets in Georgia. At Colliers, he procured, marketed, and sold over 2,000 apartment units totaling $175 million in sales volume. Austin holds a BBA in Business Management from the University of Alabama.

Harrison Cheeley joined the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in 2019. As a Senior Associate, his responsibilities include supporting all of the firm’s brokerage activities focused in secondary and tertiary markets throughout Central to Coastal Georgia.

Since joining the firm in 2019, Harrison has been involved in the sale of over 35,000 units with an aggregate sales volume in excess of $4.8 billion. Harrison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Auburn University.

Laura Aylor is a Senior Associate in the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group. Her responsibilities include supporting all of the firm's brokerage activities focused in secondary and tertiary markets throughout Central to Coastal Georgia.

Since joining in 2018, Laura has been involved in the sale of over 15,000 units with $1.6 billion in aggregate value. Laura holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia.

Jaime Slocumb is a Senior Transaction Manager with the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in the Atlanta office. She leads the firm's Transaction Management activities throughout Georgia and Tennessee. Recognized as one of the only brokerage firms to offer specialized Transaction Management care throughout the Due Diligence & Closing process, Jaime provides our clients with a full-service, white glove experience.

Since joining the team in 2019, Jaime has been involved in selling over 200 apartment communities with a total of over 35,000 units and an aggregate value in excess of $5 billion. Jaime began her real estate career in 2013 at Colliers International where she helped managed all brokerage activity throughout secondary markets in the Southeast. Jaime holds a BA in Journalism from Georgia State University.
