Charlotte Office

Paul Marley is a Vice Chair in the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in the Charlotte office. He is responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s brokerage activities throughout the state of North Carolina, with a personal focus on middle market assets.

Since joining in 2014, Paul has been directly involved in the sale of over 65,000 units and an aggregate value in excess of $6 billion. He holds a BA from Wofford College.

Alex McDermott is an Executive Managing Director in the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in the Charlotte office. His responsibilities include supporting all of the firm’s brokerage activities in the Carolinas. With over 10 years of experience, Alex will focus on value add and new construction investment sales.

He has been directly involved in selling more than 45,000 units representing over $3 billion in sales volume. Alex is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he earned a BSBA in Business Management.

Louis Smart joined the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in 2022 and supports the firm’s institutional brokerage activities in Charlotte and the Carolinas. Louis came to C&W from Foundry Commercial where he focused on the development and acquisition of office and industrial product in the Carolinas.

Prior to Foundry, Louis spent 5 years with HQ Capital in New York City, where he led multifamily joint-venture development transactions for the firm in multiple Southeast markets. Louis holds a BA from Sewanee: University of the South and an MBA in Real Estate Finance & Development from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill.

Alex Phillips joined the Cushman & Wakefield Multifamily Advisory Group in 2020. As a Director, he focuses on multifamily land acquisition and disposition opportunities throughout the Carolinas and Sunbelt.

Prior to joining the Multifamily Advisory Group, Alex worked for Furman Capital Advisors in Greenville, SC, where he focused on multifamily sales in the Carolinas and performed site selection for multifamily developers across the Southeast.  Alex holds a BS in Financial Management from Clemson University.

Gavin Conlon joined the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in March 2022 as an Associate. Based in Charlotte, his responsibilities include assisting the firm in all brokerage activity throughout North Carolina

Prior to joining the team, Gavin worked as a sales executive for CoStar Group, a commercial real estate data company. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in May of 2019 with a BBA in Business Administration.

Jacquelyn Aaron is a Transaction Specialist with the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group in the Charlotte office. She leads the firm's Transaction Management for institutional assets in North and South Carolina and land in the Sunbelt for multifamily development. Recognized as one of the only brokerage firms to offer specialized Transaction Management care throughout the Due Diligence & Closing process, Jacquelyn provides our clients with a full-service, white glove experience.

Since joining the team in 2016, Jacquelyn has been involved in selling over 500 apartment communities with a total of over 115,000 units and an aggregate value in excess of $15.5 billion. Jacquelyn holds a JD from Loyola New Orleans College of Law and a BS from University of South Carolina.

Taylor Potter Connors is a Transaction Coordinator with the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group based in Charlotte, NC supporting both North and South Carolina transactions as well as the Gulf States. Recognized as one of the only brokerage firms to offer specialized Transaction Management care throughout the Due Diligence & Closing process, Taylor provides our clients with a full-service, white glove experience.

Since joining the team in 2022, Taylor has been directly involved in selling deals focusing on the private capital clientele. Taylor holds a BA in Public Relations and a Masters in Marketing from The University of Alabama.
